Volunteer health professionals will be on hand with museum staff to register animals, issue ID bracelets, perform health-check-ups, share information about healthy eating and exercise, and conduct minor surgery on furry friends in need of repair.
This event is designed to not only be fun but to also help children feel more comfortable about doctor visits. Children are able to play the role of parents as they take their stuffed animal through each step of the clinic and receive a certificate of good health at the end of the appointment.
The clinic is followed by a tea party from 12-12:30 pm with milk, yogurt and fresh fruit provided by Stonyfield and Fiddlehead Farms Marketplace. All Teddy Bear Clinic and Tea Party activities are included with paid admission to the museum ($9 adults/children, $8 seniors) and free for museum members.
