Strides Against Stigma is a unique event dedicated to raising awareness of depressive disorders and building a community that will erase the stigma of depression.
Many families struggling with depression don’t seek help because they’re afraid or ashamed.
Together we can remove social stigma of depressive disorders so people get the help they need!
Join us for Strides Against Stigma, an empowering and entertaining stride-a-thon to raise awareness of depressive disorders and build a community that erases the stigma of depression.
As a participant, you’ll receive a t-shirt, lunch, and a pedometer to count your strides as you walk or run around the track at Nickerson Field and engage in a variety of fun, educational, and entertaining activities.
Now is your chance to take strides against stigma: register as a team, individual, or virtual (off-site) walker and raise awareness as you support Families for Depression Awareness programs.
Spread the word through Facebook, Twitter, email messages with links to this site, and distributing flyers!
Take advantage of volunteer and sponsorship opportunities, too!
Event information is posted as it becomes available, including directions, parking, and prize
