It was designed to provide support and technical skills to individuals who provide care to a family member or friend without compensation.
This program will be run by Susan Moriarty, MSW, LCSW, Program Manager for MetroWest Meds at the Natick Visiting Nurse Association.
In her presentation, Susan will present prescription cost-cutting options.
She will address:
• pharmaceutical company free medication programs and whether they’re right for you
• discount generic drug options locally and by mail
• medication assistance programs available through the state and federal government
• co-pay assistance foundations
After the skill-building and education, lunch will be provided, and supportive discussion will be facilitated by Natick Human Services & Council on Aging’s clinical social worker, Christina Player.
The Caregiver Care Program is available through grants provided by the Tufts Health Plan Foundation.
There is no fee to attend, but registration is required.
