Celebrate family time with a hike to Tippling Rock through the Nobscot Scout Reservation, the former home of Nipmuc Native Americans and a favorite haunt of Thoreau's.

This reservation preserves tons of history.

We'll see a working water pump, visit the site of a 1700s smallpox graveyard and take in the incredible views at 400 ft.

Approximately 1.5 mile roundtrip.

Wear closed-toed shoes and layers and bring water and snacks as needed.

Adult must accompany child.

Cancels for rain.

Registration is encouraged, but not required.

Through an agreement with the town of Sudbury, the scout reservation is free and open to respectful use by the public.
