Celebrate the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by learning more about him by using postage stamps.

A special exhibit featuring stamps both about Dr. King and other great African-Americans will be on display.

Children can also do various stamp activities including making their own collection of US stamps from the Black Heritage series.

There will be stamp scavenger hunts for prizes, stamp puzzles and the Museum’s two-cent stamp boxes.

Children can also design their own Dr. King stamp to display in the Museum’s main gallery.
In addition, each family will receive a free booklet prepared by the U.S Post Office featuring African-Americans on stamps with their brief biographies plus a mint US stamp honoring Dr. King.
