Mayor Michelle Wu and The Committee to Light the Commonwealth Avenue Mall will light the trees on the Mall on November 30 at 8:15pm, immediately following the Boston Common Tree Lighting.Enjoy free cookies and hot chocolate while you're there
The Emerald Necklace Conservancy and Charlesgate Alliance are building on this annual tradition and bringing their signature emerald green lighting to the Charlesgate Park block of the Mall for the third consecutive year.
For the first time this year, the lights on the Commonwealth Avenue Mall will extend to Kenmore Square.
Trees along the Mall will be illuminated through April 1 with elegant white lights made possible thanks to Friends of the Public Garden.
Please join us to as we hit the switch and celebrate the lighting of trees up and down Commonwealth Avenue.

Other 2023 holiday celebrations hosted by the Boston Parks and Recreation Department include the lighting of the trellis at Christopher Columbus Park on the Boston Harbor waterfront, the lighting of the ship in Martin’s Park at the Children’s Wharf Harborwalk, and the Boston Common Tree Lighting.
