A North Shore tradition, the Greening of the Great House will feature lavishly decorated rooms transformed by florists and designers, self-guided tours, and live entertainment.
This year’s theme honors the Roaring Twenties, the decade in which the Great House was constructed.
On Friday evening, December 5, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., visitors can enjoy a Roaring 20s Cocktail Party with live jazz music, appetizers, and a drink at the cash bar as well as tour the Great House.
Vintage attire is encouraged.
Advance reservations are required through www.thetrustees.org.
Tickets are $20 for members and $25 for nonmembers.
On Saturday, December 6, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, December 7, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., attendees can tour the Great House, enjoy live music, dance, and other presentations, and feast on warm cookies and cider.
Tickets for Saturday and Sunday are at the door only: $15 for adults and $8 for children and seniors, $10 and $5 for Trustees of Reservations’ members, and $8 for Ipswich residents with proof of residency.
Attendees may bring an unwrapped toy to benefit needy families through Ipswich Caring.

From Rt. 128 (Exit 20A) follow Rt. 1A north for 8 mi. to Ipswich. Turn right onto Rt. 133 east and follow for 1.5 mi. Turn left onto Northgate Rd. and follow for 0.5 mi. Turn right onto Argilla Rd. and follow for 2 miles to entrance to The Crane Estate.
