National Amusements’ Holiday Classics
National Amusements, Inc., a world leader in the motion picture exhibition industry operating approximately 950 screens in the U.S., U.K. and Latin America, announces the 16th year of Holiday Classics, a four-week program offering movie-goers free admission to a classic holiday movie with a donation of a non-perishable food item which will benefit a local food pantry.
The program continues to be particularly important for local communities, as the economic downturn has caused demand for food aid to greatly increase and put additional stress on food pantries to feed the hungry.
National Amusements patrons have contributed more than 100,000 pounds of food since the inception of the program in 1999.
This year, the company challenges patrons to bring friends and neighbors to enjoy these classic movies and to help increase the much-needed food supply.
2014 Holiday Classics film schedule November 29 – Miracle on 34th Street (rated G, 96 minutes)
December 6 – It’s a Wonderful Life (not rated, 130 minutes)
December 13 – A Christmas Story (rated PG, 94 minutes)
December 20 – White Christmas (not rated, 120 minutes)
Showcase Cinemas Lowell will collect food for Merrimack Valley Food Bank.
