Celebrate Dr. King Day at Spellman
A special exhibit featuring stamps both about Dr. King and other great African-Americans will be on display.
Children can also do various stamp activities including making their own collection of US stamps from the Black Heritage stamp series.
There will be stamp scavenger hunts for prizes, stamp puzzles and searching in the Museum’s two-cent stamp boxes.
Children can also design their own Dr. King stamps to display in the Museum’s main gallery.
In addition, each family will receive a free packet of stamps, a Dr. King US commemorative stamp, plus a free booklet prepared by the U.S Post Office featuring African-Americans on stamps with their brief biographies.
A free booklet about how to start a stamp collection will also be available.
