Happy Birthday Presidents Family Day
Can you place them in the order that they served?
Can you name the Commanders Chief born in Massachusetts?
How many names of our First Ladies do you know?
You can find out all this and much more at the Spellman Museum of Stamps & Postal History’s Annual Happy Birthday Presidents Family Day.
Children and adults can view exhibits of stamps honoring all past presidents to learn more about their biographies, their achievements in office and their first ladies.
Children can also search through boxes of Presidential stamps to make their own free presidents’ collection.
In addition, visitors can use stamps to do various arts and crafts projects such as making mugs, frames birdhouses and bookmarks.
Children also send themselves a postcard with free postage.
Designing stamp mosaics and presidents stamps are additional activities.
There will be a stamp scavenger hunt of the Presidents on Stamps exhibit for prizes and children can have their photo made into a stamp.
Also on exhibit is “Celebrating Black History Month on Stamps” and “The Winter Olympics on Stamps.”
There will be free packets of stamps for the children plus tips about how to start a stamp collection.
Everyone can share a piece of the birthday cake featuring a presidential postage stamp.
Gift Shop will be open.
Anyone sharing the same last name as any president will receive free admission.
