On Saturday, April 18 from 12 pm – 2 pm, children will be able to wave to the bunny from their cars, as he stands at the corner of Grove and Washington Streets, close to the market’s location at 5204 Washington.
“As the mother of two children myself, I know the anticipation that builds before Orthodox Easter,” said owner Katerina Iliades.
“This year, with social distancing making celebrations quieter, we’re excited to add a little extra fun.
It’s also a nice chance for families who celebrate Western Easter to bring back last weekend’s glow, too!”
For those hopping over to shop before this Sunday’s observance, the market continues to feature favorite holiday foods and items, including sweet bread, Greek sausages and other meats, egg dyes and more.
Open Monday through Saturday from 10 am – 6 pm for shopping, takeout and curbside pickup, the Greek International Food Market also carries imported products such as beans, rice, pasta, tahini, cheese, olives and spinach pies, along with homemade Greek specialties and desserts.
