Live Reading of A Christmas Carol
Live Reading of A Christmas Carol
Rekindle the wonder of a childhood Christmas this season at the Maynard Fine Arts Theatre.
Join us for a live reading of Charles Dickens’ beloved story A Christmas Carol.
Maynard resident and professional actor Johnny Kinsman will read aloud this timeless, uplifting tale about a curmudgeonly old fool whose heart opens wide with joy one magical Christmas morning.
Beautiful illustrations, live music, and Foley sound effects provided by local musicians Ann moss and Justin Ouellet will add to the enchantment of this holiday experience.
What are Foley sound effects?
Foley sound effects are the everyday sounds you hear in movies, TV shows, and even video games.
Buttoning a coat, setting down a glass, or opening a door are all examples of noises that are tailor made, usually in post-production, for a specific moment or scene.
During this performance you will have the opportunity to see how these sound effects are created, live, and in sync with the reading.
This is a 'pay-what-you-can' event.
