Throughout history, other calamities befell the Jewish people on this date, such as the expulsions from England & Spain, numerous pogroms & other atrocities.
In contemporary times, Tisha b'Av became the date (alongside Yom Hashoah) on which we mourn the Holocaust which befell our people, the murders of six million.
While on this day we grapple with despair as we try to make sense of these horrors -- we also seek a vision of hope for the future.
Join us for somber evening services & observations on the significance of this day, followed by the chanting of Eicha/Lamentations in English & Hebrew.
