From Saturday, July 1 through Monday, July 3, Gore Place, the historic house museum in Waltham, will offer a special Independence Day weekend tour.

Revisit the earliest days of the United States and hear stories about the brave men who committed treason when they declared independence from Great Britain. Learn about early 19th century July 4th celebrations, the first political parties, Christopher Gore's connection to the $2.00 bill, and National Hot Dog Month! Enjoy light refreshments in the gift shop.

Then, follow a guide in period costume for a candlelit tour of the mansion.

Members free.

WGBH and AAA member receive $1 off adult admission.

About Gore Place
Gore Place is located at 52 Gore Street, just off Route 20 (Main Street) near the Waltham/Watertown line. By public transportation: Take the Red Line to Central Square.
