Kids Can Cook offers a limited number of classes each month in addition to our main after-school program. Classes are available for both youth and adults. These classes incorporate the same fundamentals of healthy eating, culinary skills, and great taste as our main program. However, unlike our main program, these classes are open to the general public!

This Week: Sushi
Even those who don' t like fish will enjoy this awesome cooking demonstration and class. You'll learn all of the sushi knife cuts, ingredients, and even roll your own maki. Our menu of vegetables, tofu, and chicken rolls will be sure to suit everyone's tastes. You'll leave knowing all the tips and tricks to make sushi at home!

About Kids Can Cook
Kids Can Cook is a small non-profit organization located in Boston, MA. Kids Can Cook's mission is to provide inner-city students from Boston middle schools with an innovative and educational out-of-school experience that teaches important life skills through the art and science of cooking.

The tuition-free classes provide students with an introduction to the world of culinary arts and basic nutritional education. Classes are taught by professional chefs and include healthy, nutritious, and delicious recipes. Students learn through fun, hands-on activities in a safe and nurturing environment.

  • Participants will learn how to prepare healthy and delicious foods through hands-on activities.
  • Each student takes home a delicious meal at the end of each class to share with his or her family.
  • All classes are taught by culinary professionals in our commercial kitchen and classroom designed specifically for young chefs.
  • Camp size is limited to 15 students per week, so register early to reserve your spot!
  • All proceeds benefit Kids Can Cook’s after-school program for low-income youth.

From North of Boston:
Take I-93 South towards Boston. Take the Albany St/I-90 exit. Follow signs for Albany St. Stay to the right at the first fork in the tunnel (the left fork directs you back to I-93S.) Stay to the left at the second fork after exiting the tunnel (the right fork will bring you to Mass Pike/I-90.) Go through three sets of lights. At the fourth light turn left to stay on Albany Street. Kids Can Cook is located in the Boston Flower Exchange Building on the left.
From South of Boston:
Take I-93 towards Boston. Take exit 18 for Frontage Rd towards Mass Ave/Roxbury. Merge on to I-93 Frontage Rd. Turn left at Albany St. Kids Can Cook is located in the Boston Flower Exchange Building.
