When was the last time you wrote or received a personal letter? Do you have letters you have saved because of their sentimental value? Do your children even think about writing a letter rather than send an email?

Hear author Lois Barry talk about her book 'Always First Class, the Joy of Personal Letters' and listen to children's book author Jennifer Morris read her latest book 'Please Write Back'. She will also demonstrate how she creates characters and teach children someof the basics. Everyone will learn how to make unique envelopes and stationery and will be asked to write at least one letter to a friend. The Museum will pay the postage.

Also have a piece of birthdaycake to celebrate the 170-th anniversary of the first postage stamps. Free stamps for the children. Special exhibit of letters from past US wars and from concentration camps.
