Our mission: Use a fun, interactive, and educational learning environment to provide invaluable, transferable, oral communication training to a generation of young people more comfortable using text message, e-mails, and Google chat as their primary means of communication.
Using sports or pop culture, YBA engages young people in diaolog about the things they are passionate about. The camera motivates and exposes them, to see themselves as the world sees and hears them.
Why should your child attend workshops at YBA?
The skills taught at YBA include a wide variety of transferable life skills that will serve todays youth well, no matter what path their life takes. These essential skills include:
*Communication basics
*I.P.I.E. - Intonation, Pronunciation, Inflection and Enunciation
*Self-confidence
*Active listening
*Poise
*Eye contact
Our facilities feature a full green screen with virtual live sports sets for public address announcing, sports reporting, and general show production. YBA’s Natick facility operates with a 3-camera switcher allowing us to produce TV in a relatistic studio environment.
With multiple cameras, state of the art teleprompter, and virtual multiple sets we teach our students how to shoot great TV and then do just that with them. There is no other facility available to do what we do for our students with the ongoing access and training that we provide.
In addition to our shooting capabilities, we also have a full Apple Final Cut Pro editing suite to produce professional television from our students’ work product.
