Even large ships weighing hundreds of thousands of tons stay afloat. But how? Join us as we investigate floating by building tinfoil boats and loading them with pennies until they sink. Discover how a boat’s size and shape make a difference in how much of a load it can carry. Time to roll up the shirtsleeves and dive in!

From Route 95/128
Take Exit 29B (Route 2 West) toward Acton/Fitchburg. At the second set of lights, turn left, continuing on Route 2 West. (There is a Mobil station on the opposite corner.) Follow for 4.5 miles to the Concord rotary and take the third exit. Continue on Route 2 for about 2 miles. Bear left at Exit 43 (Route 111). At the lights, turn left onto Route 27 South. The Museums are 1/2 mile ahead on your left.
