(Tuesday, 5/17 at 4:30pm & Saturday, 5/28 at 10am): Come explore science-themed activities inspired by the popular PBS show FETCH!™ with a staff member from The Discovery Museums. Investigate how sound works as you create a screaming string thing and a kazoo as part of Sound-sational Silliness on 5/17.

Design a pirate ship and test how much “gold” it can carry, and then craft a pirate-themed thaumatrope (wonder turners) as part of Pirate Adventures on 5/28. $14 fee includes admission and a related Barefoot Book title. Ages 4+. Limit of 20 children per program; pre-register at 978.369.1770.

Barefoot Books is located at 89 Thoreau Street in the Concord Depot. Take the MBTA's Fitchburg commuter rail line to the 'Concord' stop and you will arrive across the street from our Studio. If driving, we are just over 30 minutes northwest of Boston. Take Route 2W to Rte. 62E (RH turn at lighted intersection). Follow <1 mile to another lighted intersection; turn right onto Thoreau Street. Barefoot Books is 2 blocks ahead on your LH side. Free parking in lot alongside our building or in lot directly across Thoreau Street (in spots facing the street). Ample metered street parking.
