Design a pirate ship, test how much “gold” it can carry, and then craft a pirate-themed thaumatrope (wonder turner), all while hearing wonderful pirate tales from our popular Barefoot title (book included for each child). $14 fee includes admission and Barefoot Book title. Ages 4+. Pre-register at 978.369.1770.

Barefoot Books is located at 89 Thoreau Street in the Concord Depot. Take the MBTA's Fitchburg commuter rail line to the 'Concord' stop and you will arrive across the street from our Studio. If driving, we are just over 30 minutes northwest of Boston. Take Route 2W to Rte. 62E (RH turn at lighted intersection). Follow <1 mile to another lighted intersection; turn right onto Thoreau Street. Barefoot Books is 2 blocks ahead on your LH side. Free parking in lot alongside our building or in lot directly across Thoreau Street (in spots facing the street). Ample metered street parking.
