(Thursday, July 28, 1-4pm): For girls ages 8-12, this half-day workshop will be led by the Barefoot author of such titles as GODDESSES A World of Myth and Magic, Grandmother’s Stories, and The Lady of Ten Thousand Names Goddess Stories from Many Cultures.

In this workshop, young writers are encouraged to have fun, be creative and spontaneous as this award-winning writer leads them through a series of exercises designed to call forth their inner-writing goddess! Co-sponsored with the Women’s Well. Minimum of 10 girls required to offer this workshop (Offered again in early August for those unavailable in July).

Barefoot Books is located at 89 Thoreau Street in the Concord Depot. Take the MBTA's Fitchburg commuter rail line to the 'Concord' stop and you will arrive across the street from our Studio. If driving, we are just over 30 minutes northwest of Boston. Take Route 2W to Rte. 62E (RH turn at lighted intersection). Follow <1 mile to another lighted intersection; turn right onto Thoreau Street. Barefoot Books is 2 blocks ahead on your LH side. Free parking in lot alongside our building or in lot directly across Thoreau Street (in spots facing the street). Ample metered street parking.
