Earthview, a twenty-foot high (that’s two stories) inflated globe will be open for children and adults to step inside and learn fascinating facts about geography.
The Globe is sponsored by the Massachusetts Global Awareness Project at Bridgewater State and is part of the Museum’s celebration of National Geography Awareness Week
Directors of the Bridgewater program, Dr. Vernon Domingo and Dr. James Hayes-Bohanan, will make presentations inside the Globe throughout the morning.
Both professors take this Globe to schools across the state and recently even set it up on the main hall of the Massachusetts State House.
Visits inside the Globe will take place every 15 minutes (10:00, 10:15, 10:30, etc) and families should try to make a reservation (although not mandatory) by emailing to info@spellman.org
While children are waiting they will have the opportunity to hunt through boxes of worldwide stamps and create their own stamp atlas to take home for free
