is a one day Audition Prep Boot Camp for actors leading up to the StageSource General Auditions and the beginning of the Boston audition season.
This one day retreat will feature workshops in:
A Vendor Fair - browse local headshot photographers, casting directors, printing services, acting coaches, and others.
Monologue Workshop - Spend some time with our Monologue coach and polish up that new piece you've been working on.
Jacqui Parker and Jennifer Alison Lewis will lead this lecture.
Make-up for Headshots and Auditions - Learn how to best flatter your features for your headshot or audition with Make-up Artist Alycia Sacco.
Children's Audition Prep – Instructors from Boston Children’s Theatre will lead clinics in audition prep for children (ages 9-12).
Headshot and Resume Critiques - Have your resume and headshot assessed by area producer Caitlin Lowans (Stoneham Theatre) and director Jeremy Johnson.
They will talk to attendees about what makes for a forgettable vs compelling headshot.
The Classic Monologue - Thinking of tackling The Bard or Moliere?
Johnny Lee Davenport shares insights on how to handle the masters.
Musical Theatre Prep - John O'Neil prepares you to sing with dos and dont's for presenting your best vocal stylings for your audition.

Social Media Know How – Learn how to protect your online reputation with StageSource Executive Director Julie Hennrikus.
The Audition Prep Seminar - actors, directors, and artistic directors will participate in a moderated discussion on how to prepare for an audition.
While most classes will be lead as seminars we encourage all participants to prepare a short monologue (2 minutes) and if interested 10-12 lines of your favorite Shakespeare verse (not prose).
Time permitting we may be able to have some participants work on material in class.
Between 12:20PM and 1:40 PM we will hold The Audition Prep Seminar - actors, directors, and artistic directors will participate in a moderated discussion on how to prepare for an audition. What directors and artistic directors are looking for, how an actor might go about preparing, mistakes to avoid, and good ideas and practices to incorporate into one's auditioning tool belt for example, how to dress/present yourself, how to walk into an audition room with confidence, the benefits of changing up your monologue.
