'Meet' and converse with the Alcott family, Henry David Thoreau, Margaret Fuller and other notable transcendentalists, Shakers and Native Americans as you enjoy the historic buildings and outdoor sculpture at Fruitlands Museum.

On June 1, 1843 the Alcott family arrived in Harvard to create a transcendentalist community that would “live off the fruits of the land” on the site we now know as Fruitlands.

To commemorate the 170th anniversary of their arrival, we invite you to come and “meet” and converse with notable Transcendentalists such as Henry David Thoreau and Margaret Fuller during engaging afternoon of living history education.
