Not all heroes wear a mask and cape.
Some heroes live among us, helping our community in a variety of ways.
People young and old can be brave and serve others, and we think that is SUPER and something to celebrate!
Who is your hero?
Families are invited to the Andover Historical Society to explore what it means to be a hero and learn about America’s most well-known hero, George Washington.
The day will begin with a story time introducing a variety of heroic individuals.
Visitors can create life-size and small-scale artistic representations of heroes for public display at the historical society, make a medal for their hero, or use blocks to build memorials to honor heroes of the past, all while becoming acquainted with objects in our collection that tell the story of local heroes.
All ages are welcome; children must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.
Saturday February 27th, 2016, 11:00-3:00 pm.
