Our theme will be movement and agility.
We will focus on how to safely fall, roll, climb, vault, traverse, balance and become invisible.
We will sprinkle the skills with plenty of high energy and slow sneaky games, plus our usual mix of survival and awareness training.
To balance the high energy, we will slow down for some observational ninja art including Japanese calligraphy.
We will go on adventure hikes each day to nearby Newbury Field where we will play ninja games.
About the Instructor
Ken grew up in the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia in eastern U.S.
connecting to nature through hunting and fishing with his dad.
He ran off to seek grizzly, caribou, and really big fish in the arctic to become a backcountry ranger at Gates of the Arctic National Park, followed by graduate school studying bears and ravens at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks.
To thaw out he retreated to Hawaii to become an endangered species wildlife biologist.
He now spends his time restoring another critically endangered species, humans with a deep connection to the natural world.
He specializes in playing with kids (and adults) in nature and lately is enjoying supercharging this play by coleading groups of ninjas in nature.
