Leading up to her Olympic debut, Foster was a member of The Woodlands Diving Academy and dove under the direction of Coach Kenny Armstrong. Since 2004, she was also a member of the United States National Diving Team. Her training regimen consisted of five and a half hours a day, six days a week.
Foster graduated from The University of Iowa in 2006 with a degree in International Studies. While attending Iowa, she was the highest scoring female diver for the Hawkeyes at dual meet and Big Ten championship competitions. As a result, Foster also received NCAA Division 1 All-American honors.
In her spare time, the Conroe, Texas native enjoys reading, teaching children at her church, learning about other cultures, writing and spending time with her husband and family.
The evening is free and is sponsored by FIRE. FIRE is a ministry at Grace Chapel aimed at college students and young adults in their 20's and 30's, both single and married. For more information about young adult ministries at Grace Chapel, go to www.grace.org/youngadults.
