Dr. Harvey Karp Brings His Infant & Toddler Expertise to Boston to Support MA Citizens for Children. October 7, 2009 from 6-8PM at The Shops at Prudential in the Belvidere Arcade

Author of The Happiest Baby and The Happiest Toddler book and DVD series, Dr. Harvey Karp, joins Massachusetts Citizens for Children and Isis Maternity for a 2-hour event where he will translate serious science into entertaining prose to help you soothe and calm your infant and/or toddler.

Dr. Karp has revolutionized our understanding of the needs of young children. His discovery of the “Calming Reflex” can soothe even the fussiest babies in minutes and help any baby sleep an extra 1-3 hours a night. Dr. Karp will also cover popular topics for toddlers from ways to communicate with children 8 months to 5 years of age that can prevent 50-90% of tantrums to boosting a toddler’s patience and cooperation in just days!

Enjoy a full 2-hour presentation with audience Q&A, delicious refreshments provided by Daily Grill, book signings and raffle prizes. All proceeds support Massachusetts Citizens for Children and its work to strengthen families and prevent child abuse. Tickets: $25 per person, $40 per couple. Space is limited! Purchase your tickets today at www.masskids.org.

Massachusetts Citizens for Children (MCC) is the oldest state-based child advocacy organization in the country. Their mission is to improve the lives of the state's most vulnerable children through advocacy by concerned citizens.

Over its nearly 50-year history, the organization’s work has been grounded in the belief that all Massachusetts children have the inherent right -
* To be safe from abuse, neglect, and violence;
* To be economically secure and free from poverty;
* To receive quality medical and preventive care;
* To learn in quality child care and school settings; and
* To live in caring families and healthy communities.

Co-sponsored by Stonyfield Farm, Halo, Care.com, Earth’s Best, Bright Horizons, Naturepedic, Daily Grill and Boston Parents Paper.
