How does television affect children? Is it bad? Is it good?

Please join The Wayland Children and Parents Association to hear UMass Amherst College of Social and Behavioral Sciences’ Daniel R. Anderson answer these questions as they relate to infants, toddlers and preschoolers.

Professor Anderson is a psychologist and children's TV consultant, who helped design Nick Jr's Dora the Explorer, Blues Clues, and Sesame Street. He has published numerous
research articles concerning children's use of television and its impact, especially the cognitive aspects (attention and comprehension while watching TV, impact on intellectual development and school achievement). His current research concerns the impact of television on infants and toddlers.

Light refreshments will be served. Suggested donation $5 at the door. RSVP recommended to reserve a seat, but not required. Contact Jackie Rosenbloom at enrichment@waylandwcpa.org for more information.
