*The Committee was formed this year to further the Wellesley Public School Core Values of: cooperative and caring relationships, respect for human differences and commitment to community. The Committee promotes awareness, respect and acceptance of differences within the Bates family including those concerning ethnicity, culture, religion, gender, abilities and disabilities and socioeconomic status. Through the diversity in our community we strive to understand our responsibilities to one another, celebrate our similarities and differences, and develop concrete understandings of concepts such as fairness, freedom, empathy, equality and dignity.
