This conversation will be led by Daniel E. Levenson, writer, teacher and publisher of the New Vilna Review, a publication dedicated to creating open, accessible and vibrant dialogue within the Jewish community. In a continuing discussion about what it means to be Jewish in a modern world, Daniel will address the following questions:
- What are the goals and priorities of the Jewish community today?
- What aspects of Jewish culture, theology and thought are most meaningful for us as individuals?
- What kinds of traditions and ideas do we want to pass on to the next generation?
- What do we personally struggle with when it comes to Jewish history, culture and tradition?
- Where do we go from here?
This is a brown bag lunch event. Please respect basic kosher laws (no pork, shellfish, or mixed meat and dairy). There is no charge, but we welcome donations. Registration is appreciated, but walk-ins are welcome.
