Children are often bewildered and upset by a new sibling. Come learn how parents can encourage cooperation, rather than (negative) competition, among their children.

Imagine if your husband brought home a new wife, and then told you to love and be excited about her. How would you feel? Is it any wonder, then, that children are often bewildered and upset by a new sibling? (Faber and Mazlich, Siblings Without Rivalry).

We'll use scenarios from this classic book as well as the newer Mom, Jason's Breathing on Me! (Anthony Wolf) to frame our discussion about how parents can encourage cooperation, rather than (negative) competition, among their children.

Sponsored by the MetroWest Boston chapter of Mothers & More. With over 200 members from Framingham, Natick and surrounding areas, Mothers & More provides information, support, and fun for both working and stay-at-home moms, with children of all ages. Non-mobile infants welcome.
