From a very young age, girls and boys are exposed to images of appearance and behavior that influence how they think about their bodies, and what they want to be, do and wear.

These messages may confuse children about the nature of relationships and promote precocious sexuality.

Dr. Diane Levin, Professor of Education at Wheelock College, Boston, is the co-author of So Sexy So Soon in which she explores current pressures on children and how adults can promote healthy development.

Free child care will be provided, but is limited. Registration is required. For more information or to sign up, please call 617-349-4409.

This workshop is sponsored by the Greater Boston Early Childhood Resource Center of the Cambridge Public Library, The Center for Families, Cambridge Community Partnerships for Children and the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care.
