Sarah Pearlman will discuss and read from her recently published book, Mother-Talk. This groundbreaking book will take its readers into the lives of twenty-four women as they speak of their struggle to understand and come to terms with the loss of a daughter who has changed sex- or the loss of an anticipated relationship with a daughter, now a lesbian, who lives in a different world and will lead a different life.
Sarah, a well-known author on lesbian and transgender issues, was selected by the Society for the Psychological Study of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Issues as the recipient of the 2011 Award of Distinguished Professional Contribution.
