Waldorf schools are known for their outspoken defense of children from the inundation of media in their lives.

But as computers and smart phones, tablets and eBooks become almost inescapable in everyday life, how do Waldorf schools guide students to become discerning participants in this technology-filled culture?

As a Waldorf educator and Apple iOS developer, Eugene Schwartz contends that we cannot understand the enigma of today’s child without a broader connection to media technology.

Schools must deepen their understanding of how children are affected by living in a device-filled world and he encourages a thoughtful approach to the use of technology as it relates to child development.
