Brookline Music School (BMS) is pleased to present a Piano Performance Master Class led by world renowned pianist Sandra Hebert on Sunday, April 6 at 4:00pm.

Work with Ms. Hebert in this traditional performance master class.

The event will feature student performances from the BMS piano department followed by interactive coaching sessions with Ms. Hebert.

This event is free and the public is welcome to observe, though participation is only open to piano students of Brookline Music School.

Pianist Sandra Hebert has performed throughout the U.S., as well as in Asia and Europe in recitals as a soloist, concerto soloist and collaborative pianist; she appears regularly with the Kalliope Trio, and with her piano-duo partner, Elaine Kwon.

A committed proponent of new music, her numerous premieres include the international award-winning Flood Gate by Robert Rowe, and the U.S.

premiere of Erland von Koch’s Piano Concerto #3.

She has recorded for Le Chant du Monde, CRI, ICMC, Juxtab and Arcadian Winds, and has performed frequently on radio and television, including WGBH and WBUR in Boston, as well as appearances on the West Coast.

An active teacher, she has presented master classes at festivals, conservatories and universities throughout the U.S.

as well as in Europe and China.

Her solo and chamber recitals, including the premiere of a new Chinese solo piano work, were received with critical acclaim and were broadcast on Chinese radio and television.

She has taught piano and chamber music in Regensburg, Germany as a faculty member of the International Music Academy, and Cremona, Italy.

Winner of numerous prizes and awards for both performance and academics, Ms. Hebert holds a DMA in Piano Performance from Boston University; for ten years, she was a member of the Conservatory faculty at the Longy School of Music, and currently is Adjunct Assistant Professor and Director of Chamber Music and Performance on the Music Department faculty at Boston College.
