Ben and Lora Cook will speak about “When Cultures Collide: Successful Navigation of Intercultural Conflict” focusing on intercultural relationships in the family (including spouses from different cultures, adopted children, au pairs or other live-in situations, etc.). The Cooks have been co-directing and facilitating international programs and courses together for nearly ten years. Lora has a PhD in International Education and Ben has a master’s degree in international development and education and an international law degree. Lora and Ben are the parents of three young boys and live in Hingham, MA.
Certified parenting coach, Liz Warrick, will address participants about “Avoiding Struggles with Children”, which focuses on children’s ability to engage their parents in power struggles and will provide parents with simple techniques to avoid these situations at home. Liz has over 15 years experience in training, coaching and counseling. Liz is the mother of a 10 year old daughter and lives in Winchester.
