Less visited than Antarctica or even Everest, Aldabra is the most remote of the Seychelles islands. It is the Galapagos of the East, and the goal of our expedition.
It is a place where bats take to the air with wingspans nearing 3 feet, spiders the size of your fist catch prey as big as birds, and herds of giant tortoise roam the plains like dinosaurs.
Truly a place that time forgot.
They call this place the Seychelles.
Among 115 islands spread out over 600,000 square miles, there is one that stands out above the rest: Aldabra.
Less visited than Antarctica or even Everest, it is the most remote of the Seychelles islands.
There are few places on Earth as inaccessible as this, a land without medical facilities or chance of a rescue helicopter.
It is the Galapagos of the East, and the goal of our expedition.
