Enjoy an illustrated summer lecture on The Lighthouses of Massachusetts with New England's keenest observer of all things lighthouse Jeremy D'Entremont Thursday, June 21st at 12:15pm at the Old South Meeting House, 310 Washington Street, downtown Boston.

When shipwrecks were commonplace in New England, especially during ferocious storms, the quiet lighthouse keeper became a courageous hero. Hear Jeremy D'Entremont, writer for Lighthouse Digest, tell the little known dramas and colorful stories of keepers and their families at the Bay State's historic light stations.

From the storied Boston Light at the entrance to Boston Harbor to the historic lights of Buzzards Bay, D'Entremont shares a wide selection of historic and present day photos as well as video and audio clips recounting the ghostly mysteries as well as true tales of lighthouse keepers who kept lights blazing with steadfast determination.

About the Speaker:
Jeremy D'Entremont is a member of the American Lighthouse Foundation, founder and president of the Friends of Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse in New Hampshire, and web master of 'New England Lighthouses, A Virtual Guide'. He has spent his life touring and researching lighthouses, both those still at work and those that no longer shine.
