At the same time they also bore witness to the invasion of our world’s most diverse tropical coral reef ecosystems by large amounts of plastic pollution.
Come along on the journey and learn about the natural wonders and the impacts of man’s waste on the “pristine” seas of the coral triangle.
Our journey was magical and in many ways inspirational as we worked with in-country partners to better understand the sources of this plastic and try to learn about the efforts being made to reduce it from entering the sea.
In between we saw some of the most robust and colorful coral reefs, and visited with living dinosaurs, the Komodo dragons.
