Our kids are digital natives, but that doesn’t make them immune to the negative impact technology can have.
While parents are concerned about their children’s health, they often forget how emotionally destructive technology can be.
Join the Westford Parent Connection for an evening with Jon Mattleman as he presents The Emotional Consequences Of The Internet.
A popular speaker, Jon will provide a crash course in social media and the various apps teens frequently use, as well as insights into why teens feel compelled to be connected 24/7.
He will explore the relationship between at-risk behavior and unfettered access to the Internet, and share real-life strategies for managing ever-present technology in our homes and lives.
Jon Mattleman is a mental health counselor and trainer with 30 years of experience working with youth, parents, and families.
His dynamic presentations give participants tools they can implement immediately, strategies that work with children and young adults, and constructive approaches to communication and collaborate problem solving.
Jon’s presentation will be held Wednesday, November 14, at 7:00 p.m. at the Stony Brook Middle School, 9 Farmer Way, Westford.
Due the generosity of Westford Parent Connection’s sponsors, the event is free and open to the public.
No registration is required.
