The turn of the new year has brought a sense of new beginnings for many of us.
The introduction of a COVID-19 vaccine and a new administration taking the helm of American government leads many to question what the future holds.
One of those spaces being examined is the world of higher education.
This panel of Black college presidents will address how racism has historically shown up on campuses in Boston.
They will identify some of the barriers for BIPOC students in pursuing their higher educational degrees and highlight how they are using their roles to change the current education system.
Panelists include:
· Dr. Aisha Francis-Samuels, CEO of Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology
· Dr. Robert Johnson, President of Western New England University
· Dr. Yves Solomon-Fernandez, President of Greenfield Community College
· Dr. J.
Keith Motley, Chancellor Emeritus of the University of Massachusetts, Boston
