Mammals in Winter: Survival and Adaptation
Sunday Family Program by Mark Omura

When the ground is covered with snow and the trees are bare, just how do mammals such as rabbit, deer, squirrels, and lynx survive the cold winter months? Join Mark Omura, curatorial assistant of Mammalogy at Harvard, and explore how some of our local northeastern mammals use a variety of strategies to cope. Examine an array of real mammal specimens from Harvard’s famous collections for a closer look at their amazing adaptations
