Will Sofrin is a master shipwright and author who was part of the task crew which transported The Rose (the replica eighteenth-century warship that was purchased to appear in the 2003 film Master & Commander: The Far Side of the World) all the way from Newport, Rhode Island to Hollywood, California.
Sofrin’s story is one about human relationships and survival.
The presentation will feature a curated selection of film footage and photographs from the passage and afterward, Sofrin will offer a Q&A.
