Those who knew the Pattons were aware of the vital role Beatrice played in his reaching his destiny, but few others understood the singular impact of this remarkable woman whom people described as having “a personality which radiates like a brilliant gem.”
Join us as we learn about the life of Beatrice Ayer Patton, the wife of the famous WWII General George S. Patton, Jr. in this new biography, Lady of the Army: The Life of Mrs. George S. Patton, by Stefanie Van Steelandt.
Ms. Van Steelandt will speak about her new book and the life of Beatrice Patton and sign copies of Lady of the Army.
Books will be available for purchase during this event.
The event will take place outdoors at the Patton Family Archives, Patton Homestead, 650 Asbury Street, Hamilton, Massachusetts.
We recommend bringing a lawn chair or blanket for seating during the author talk.
After the book signing, the Friends of the Patton Homestead are offering tours of the Homestead grounds.
