September 27th 2023 (food starts 6pm, panel starts 6:20ish)

Where?

MIT Singleton Auditorium, 46-3002 on 43 Vassar Street

What?

A fun panel discussion with Prof. Steven Pinker (Harvard), Prof. Jean Seaton (Orwell Foundation Director) and David Taylor (Orwell's official biographer), moderated by Prof. Max Tegmark (MIT).

We'll discuss George Orwell's life, impact and relevance today for issues ranging from surveillance to censorship and hate-mongering.

We'll have an open Q&A afterwards as well as a book signing for Orwell's new biography.

Who?

The event is free and open to the public, and so is the pizza, but you need to pre-register so that we know how much food to order.
