On Thursday, April 25, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., join historian and author Russ Lopez to learn about the history of the LGBTQ+ community in Massachusetts and how the Commonwealth has spearheaded revolutionary change in marriage equality.
Tune in on Zoom to hear Lopez discuss how a state that was formed on strong puritanical ideologies became the first state to legalize same-sex marriage.
Touching on the lesser-known histories of Massachusetts' past, Lopez will highlight how there has always been an LGBTQ+ community in the Commonwealth, just not always in plain sight.
