Paula K. Shiff, director of the Marblehead School of Ballet and the North Shore Civic Ballet, once again presents this popular lecture and demonstration focusing on the skills and foundation young dancers need to begin dancing on Pointe. Dancers and their parents will learn the appropriate age to start taking Pointe lessons, the knowledge and ability needed beforehand, how a teacher determines Pointe readiness and how many classes a dancer should take to be strong enough to dance on Pointe.
