The Tanglewood Marionettes is an award-winning marionette company that has been enchanting audiences throughout New England and beyond since 1993. The Dragon King is an underwater fantasy based on Chinese folklore. Acclaimed as the Tanglewood Marionettes’ “best production to date,” The Dragon King tells the tale of a wise Grandmother who, in the midst of a terrible drought, journeys to the bottom of the sea to implore the Dragon King to return the precious rains to the land above.

Wonderful show
Wow - our family really enjoyed this show. It was a full house, in a large theater and it was mesmorizing. We brought our 7 & 5 year olds and I've never seen them sit to still for a 'sit down' show. The marionettes were riveting, the sound effects & sets were great and the story was really enjoyable. I'm so glad that we went.RELATED LINKS | ↑ top |
