Come hear the fun, sometimes wacky sounds of Franz Joseph Haynd as the New Phil presents its final Family Discovery Concert of the season. Join us for this great opportunity to hear a full symphony orchestra right here in Newton! Listen for the 'Surprise' in Haydn's 'Surprise Symphony.' Then, kids will have a chance to play along with the orchestra during Haydn's 'Toy Symphony.'

After the concert, be sure and stay for our acclaimed Instrument Petting Zoo! Children of all ages will love this opportunity to try our orchestral instruments with help from members of the New Phil!

From Rt 95 (Rt 128):
Take the RT-16 E exit 21A toward Waban/W. Newton
Go East on Washington St (Rt. 16) - go 2.1 mi
In West Newton Square, bear left onto Watertown St (Rt. 16) - go 1.2 mi
Turn left at Nevada St - go 0.3 mi and the NCC will be on your left

From Mass Pike heading West:
Exit 17, go to top of ramp (stay to the left following sign to Newton, this will bring you to Washington St)
Go 0.7 mi to the 5th set of lights (Adams St)
Turn right onto Adams St, go 0.5 mi to traffic light/Watertown St.
Turn left onto Watertown St, go 0.2 mi
Turn right onto Nevada St, go 0.3 mi. The NCC will be on your left.

From Mass Pike heading East:
Exit 17, go to top of ramp. Stay in the middle lane, follow ramp towards Newton.
Go 0.7 mi to the 5th set of lights. (Adam St)
Turn right onto Adams St, go 0.5 mi to traffic light/Watertown St.
Turn left onto Watertown St, go 0.2 mi
Turn right onto Nevada St, go 0.3 mi. The NCC will be on your left.
